He earlier lived at the Old Smithy, (between the ‘Little John’ & the butchers shop) with his brother Reginald Unwin. Also brother of Hubert. Their ‘next of kin’ was Frank Unwin, (probably his eldest brother) of 8 Ashburton Road, Sheffield. 1911C living at ‘Cotteswold’ (‘Cotswold’) Hathersage, a solicitors clerk with four brothers and four sisters (all born Hathersage), remembered in the village as a Sunday School Teacher, and was studying Holy Orders at Oxford. He was a playing member of Hathersage Cricket Club. Father; Isaac, a blacksmith, (b Eyam 1857 d 1927), mother Clara (Wood?) (b1860 d 1941).
